MANILA, Philippines (2nd UPDATE) – Amid strong economic growth and efforts to curb corruption, the Philippines leaped 7 notches in the 2014 Global Competitiveness Report released by the World Economic Forum (WEF) on Wednesday, September 3.
“The results suggest that the reforms of the past 4 years have bolstered the country’s economic fundamentals,” the WEF said in the report.
