Last August 22, 2024, the CFO and the City Government of Antipolo solidified their partnership by signing the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the BaLinkBayan Project at Antipolo City Hall.
Antipolo City Mayor Casimiro Ynares III extended a warm welcome to the CFO team in his message, acknowledging Secretary Romulo V. Arugay’s commitment to serving overseas Filipinos (OFs). He underscored his administration’s initiatives to support OFs, including the provision of educational assistance for their children. In his opening remarks, Secretary Arugay thanked Antipolo City for adapting a localized BaLinkBayan website, which will aid in integrating migration and development frameworks into the local government’s policies.
Sec. Arugay and Mayor Ynares III then officially signed the MOA, witnessed by Ms. Marita Del Rosario-Apattad, Director of the CFO’s Project Management Division, and Atty. Cedrick Justice U. Capital, the city’s legal officer. After the MOA Signing, the CFO donated an all-in-one computer to the LGU that will aid in the implementation of the BaLinkBayan Project.
Director Apattad comprehensively discussed the overview of the BaLinkBayan Project, which was followed by breakout sessions focused on data gathering and website management training led by Ms. Maria Christina Silvestre and the latter by Ms. Auxilium Obispo and Mr. Jeremy Nicasio. The hands-on training aims to equip the participants with the skills necessary to update and maintain their website.
Antipolo City is now the 55th LGU partner and the 65th partner overall of the Commission under the BaLinkBayan Project.
