About the PSE

Established through the unification of the Manila and Makati Stock Exchanges in 1992, the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) is the sole operator of the country’s equities market. It supports the growth of local businesses by ensuring efficient, fair, and transparent stock transactions.

NRF Investor Education for Development

Though overseas, non-resident Filipinos (NRFs) can expand their hard-earned money through investments, while becoming a part of national economic development, by starting with investor education. Such a service is offered through the PSE Academy, where capital market education is beyond reach by NRFs looking into investing in the Philippines, through the PSE.

The PSE Academy offers a variety of material for NRFs to peruse and experiment on, such as an online library, curated articles & media about the Philippine stock market, an investment calculator, a glossary of market jargon, access to the PSEs educational activities, and other relevant resources.

Benefits of Investing for NRFs

  1. Long-term wealth & financial security: Investing yields promising returns for NRFs, if managed properly, hence the necessity of investment education.
  2. Additional income source: Apart from usual income streams, which are usually fixed despite providing security, investments serve as an additional income source that ensures itself as a form of safety net, in times of need.
  3. Becoming a vital element of the Philippine economy: Apart from the aforementioned, one can also become a significant contributor to the local economic scene by investing in listed companies & enterprises, which expands to the creation of more jobs — a win-win for both NRF investors and local counterparts.

Getting Started

NRFs aged 18 and above may start their investing journey by submitting an (a) accomplished Customer Account Information Form, (b) 2 valid identification cards, (c) 3 specimen signature cards, and (d) proof of billing. Once the aforementioned has already been complied with the PSE, NRFs may already start with their first investment venture.
