LUZON

  • REGION 1

    Also known as the Ilocos Region, Region I is composed of the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan. From the latest data of the CDA, there are about 1,050 registered cooperatives here. The co-ops from this region produces, manufactures, and sell the following products:

    > Pure Cacao tablea
    > Chocolate pastries (brownies, cakes, cupcakes, truffles, etc.)
    > Handwoven bags made from abaca
    > Handmade items like planters, soap dishes, bowls, and cutlery made from coconut husks
    > Carabao milk and dairy products like cheese, pastillas, etc.

  • CORDILLERA ADMINISTRATIVE REGION

    The Cordillera Administrative Region or CAR is composed of the provinces of Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, and Mountain Province. This region is the only landlocked area in the Philippines. With its mountainous terrain, it is dubbed as the “Watershed Cradle of North Luzon”. Because of its topography as well, the area is rich in natural resources and mineral reserves. From the latest data of the CDA, there are about 931 registered cooperatives in the area. The co-ops from this region produces, manufactures, and sell the following products:

    > Ginger powder tea
    > Single-origin coffee beans
    > Other coffee products

  • REGION 2

    Also known as the Cagayan Valley Region, Region II is the second largest region in the Philippines found on the northeastern part of mainland Luzon. The region is composed of the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, and Quirino. As the region is naturally endowed with fertile soil and extensive coastline, agricultural activities thrive here and agricultural products are plentiful. From the latest data of the CDA, there are about 1,162 cooperatives in Region 2. The co-ops from this region produces, manufactures, and sell the following products:

    >Pickled fruits- santol, green mango
    > Healthy snacks like dehydrated dragon fruit and Kamatis chicharon
    > Santol Jam
    > Cara Beef Tapa- carabao meat products and chicharon
    > Muscovado sugar
    > Cane vinegar
    > Peanut products- peanut butter/spread, baked/roasted ready-to-eat peanuts

  • REGION 3

    Known as Central Luzon, Region III is an area that is rich and diverse in history and culture owing from the influence of the colonizers as well as with the presence of indigenous tribes there. The provinces of Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, and Zambales comprise Region III. With its close proximity to the capital of the country, the region also has diverse industries and infrastructures comparable to the NCR. According to the latest data from CDA, there are around 2,111 cooperatives in the region. The co-ops from this region produces, manufactures, and sell the following products:

    > Textile raw materials, ready-to-wear apparel especially, special celebrations attire
    > Carabao milk and other dairy products (flavoured yoghurt drinks, pasteurized carabao milk, RTD coffee w/ carabao milk, kesong puti, etc.)
    > Rabbit farming and rabbit meat products (tapa, tocino, and burger patties)

  • NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION

    The National Capital Region or Metro Manila is one of the three metropolitan areas in the Philippines. With a dense population and diverse industries and infrastructure, there are a variety of the types of cooperatives found in the region. NCR is composed of 17 local government units and 1 municipality: Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela, Quezon City, Marikina, Pasig, Taguig, Makati, Manila, Mandaluyong, San Juan, Pasay, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa; and Pateros as the lone municipality. As expected of the hub of commerce and various industries, the products and services of coops in this region are largely different from the others. According to CDA, there are around 1,897 cooperatives in Metro Manila. The co-ops from this region produces, manufactures, and sell the following products:

    > Clothing products (tshirts, polo shirts, jackets, etc.)
    > Textile products like bags, towels, and umbrellas
    > Printing services (commercial grade)
    > Logistics services (courier and forwarding services)
    > Handcrafted accessories like bags and wallets made out of recycled materials (sako packs, plastic pouches, etc.)
    > Household items made out of recycled materials (placemats, aprons, containers, etc.)
    > Ladies accessories made out of recycled materials

  • REGION IV-A

    Based on its moniker, CALABARZON, this region is composed of the following provinces: Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon. The provinces in this region vary in terms of topography and environment, making for a diverse range of products and services. According to CDA, there are about 1,745 cooperatives in CALABARZON. The co-ops from this region produces, manufactures, and sell the following products:

    > Ginger and turmeric products (juice blends, tea, turmeric powder, etc.)
    > Coffee beans
    > Carabao milk and other dairy products (jello, yoghurt, pasteurized milk, kesong puti, yema, milk candies, etc.)
    > Eggs and other egg products (bottled all yolk, bottled all egg whites, egg powder, etc.)
    > Organic fertilizer (from chicken manure)
    > Cloth masks production and other textile products
    > Production of native textiles like piña into formal wear like barong tagalog and filipiniana

  • REGION IV-B

    Also known as MIMAROPA, the region is composed of the following provinces: Mindoro (Oriental and Occidental), Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan. Because of the rich environment and coastal waters surrounding the region, agriculture, tourism, and even mining are some of the industries prevalent and thriving in the region. According to CDA, there are around 754 cooperatives in MIMAROPA. The co-ops from this region produces, manufactures, and sell the following products:

    > Corn production and other corn products (chichacorn)
    > Textile manufacturing and products
    > Peanut products (peanut butter, fried flavored peanuts, etc.)
    > Taro chips
    > Achara
    > Wine (from locally grown grapes)
    > Embroidery services (manual and automated) and other textile products
    > Meat processing and meat products (hotdog, sausages, tocino, packed giniling, etc.)

  • REGION V

    Also known as Bicol Region, Region V is composed of the following provinces: Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Sorsogon, Catanduanes, and Masbate. The region is the gateway to the Pacific and is the gateway of Luzon to the Visayas and Mindanao islands. With active volcanoes yet surrounding waters, the environment in the province is lush and is teeming with natural resources. According to CDA, there are around 1,062 cooperatives in the Bicol Region.The co-ops from this region produces, manufactures, and sell the following products:

    > Processing and manufacturing of piña cloth and fiber to make several clothing and textile products
    > Production of Pineapple fruits and products (jam, flavored drinks, ready-to-drink juices, dried pineapple, etc.)
    > Organic fertilizer
    > Farm to table market model (Community Food Centers) and Organic Farming
    > Healthy snacks like Cucumber chips and Banana chips
    > Chili powder
    > Turmeric and ginger powder
    > Soy coffee
    > Rice flour and black rice coffee
    > Oyster mushroom production and manufacturing of products (fresh mushrooms, dried mushrooms, pickled mushrooms, mushroom chips, etc.)
