The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) flew to Singapore to sign the BaLinkBayan Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the United Architects of the Philippines-Singapore Chapter (UAPS) on 24 March 2023 at Max’s Restaurant in Scott’s Rd.
The CFO was represented by Undersecretary Valery Joy Brion while UAPS’ delegation was headed by Chapter President Charmagne Uy-Phua.
UAPS was first endorsed by the Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines-Singapore Chapter (IECEP-SG) as one of the invitees for the CFO BaLinkBayan Forum held in July 2022.
The CFO team then met Pres. Phua and Dr. Sheila Maria Conejos, one of the 2021 Pamana ng Pilipino Presidential Awardees and also a member of the UAPS during the forum. UAPS is the 4th Singapore-based Filipino organization partner of the CFO for the BaLinkbayan Project and the 9th overall for Filipino associations overseas (FAOs).

CFO Officer Princess Mayumi Kaye Peralta.
The United Architects of the Philippines – Singapore Chapter is a society composed of active Filipino Architects and Designers working, practicing, and residing in Singapore, was formally chartered in July 2009.
The initiative of the UAP Singapore Chapter to seek legal standing in Singapore was done through the application to the Registry of Societies (ROS) on 18 October 2009, and was granted on 22 February 2011, making UAP Singapore Chapter the 1st recognized Foreign Architectural Organization by ROS
Through this partnership, CFO and UAPS aim to work hand-in-hand in managing a FAO-led BaLinkBayan website that targets to reach OFs in their networks and areas, and further the engagement of OFs in Singapore and in forwarding national development.
