The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) strengthened its partnership with Feed the Hungry, Inc., (FtH, Inc.) through the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement on the BaLinkBayan Project on Monday, June 27, 2022.

CFO Secretary Justice Francisco P. Acosta and Undersecretary Abdulgani M. Macatoman graced the event extending the institution’s immense gratitude to FTH, represented by its President & COO Ms. Solita M. Wakefield, for its consistent support to the development initiatives of the Commission particularly through the Lingkod sa Kapwa Pilipino Program.

Through the BaLinkBayan, CFO and FTH aim to bridge a wider populace of overseas Filipinos and engage them in diaspora philanthropy activities in the motherland.

 

Building hope, Giving Dignity

Since its inception in 1992, FTH had contributed monetary and material donations that supported the establishment of numerous livelihood projects, generated employment opportunities, constructed learning hubs and provided scholarship grants among poor families and underserved communities from 81 provinces and cities in the Philippines.

In 1998, Feed the Hungry, Inc. was conferred with the Presidential Awards under the Lingkod sa Kapwa Pilipino category for its role in giving hope and dignity to the lives it has touched.
